UPDATE - RONDO ICR STEM SAFETY ACTION (31.07.2025)

We’re happy to share that the solution has been successfully validated and is now entering production.

The solution that we have identified is quick and easy to implement. The owner of the bike is required to replace the original stem cap assembly with the one provided by us. This fix can be done by yourself if you have basic tools and bicycle knowledge or, if you don’t feel confident, it can be done by your local dealer.

The fix includes a reinforced front cap and bolt to ensure secure handlebar clamping, even under repeated installation.

Affected riders will soon be able to choose between two free service options:

  1. Repair at a certified RONDO dealer,

    or

  2. A free “Repair Kit” for self-installation – including all components and a step-by-step guide.

Production of the replacement parts is now underway.

We'll start distributing kits and coordinating service appointments as soon as they’re ready – estimated in the coming weeks.

We’ll be in touch directly with all registered riders.

Stay tuned for updates and final instructions on our website and official channels.

Thank you for your patience and trust. We’re committed to resolving this with care and transparency.

PRESS RELEASE (14.07.2025)

Dear RONDO Riders,

We are issuing a precautionary safety notice regarding select RONDO bikes equipped with the ICR stem, manufactured and delivered between 2022 and 2025.

We have received a limited number of reports indicating that over-tightening of the front stem cover in the ICR stem may lead to cross bolt deformation and, in rare cases, the loss of a handlebar clamping force or cracking of the front stem plate. This could cause a sudden loosening of the handlebar, potentially resulting in a loss of control.

No injuries or accidents have been reported. However, rider safety is our highest priority and we want to offer you an improved, fail-safe component for your peace of mind.

We are currently working on a permanent solution and will share full details, including service and replacement options, in the coming days.
